Rajasthan Royals’ young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a brilliant half-century against Chennai Super Kings in the 47th match of IPL 2021. Left-handed opener Yashasvi registered a big achievement in his name by playing a half-century in just 19 balls.
Yashasvi has become the second batsman in the history of IPL to score the fastest fifty as an uncapped Indian. The 19-year-old Yashasvi smashes 6 fours and 3 sixes during his explosive innings played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.
Earlier in the year 2018, wicket-keeper batsman Ishan Kishan scored a 17-ball fifty against Kolkata Knight Riders, which is the fastest among the uncapped players in this T20 league. Deepak Hooda is at number three in this list, who scored a 20-ball fifty against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2021.
Yashasvi and Lewis’s opening pair scored 77 runs
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Evin Lewis shared a 77-run partnership for the first wicket against Chennai. Both the openers had completed their half-century partnership in 4 overs. Lewis was dismissed for 27 runs in 12 balls.
Rajasthan scored 81 for 1 in the powerplay against Chennai (CSK vs RR), which is their best score so far in this T20 league. Earlier, Rajasthan had scored 73 for 1 against Deccan Chargers in 2008, while in 2010 scored 70 runs against Punjab Kings without losing any wicket.
Ruturaj scored 101 runs in 60 balls
Earlier, Chennai Super Kings scored 189 for 4 with the help of young opener Ruturaj Gaikwad’s unbeaten century. Gaikwad scored an unbeaten 101 off 60 balls with the help of nine fours and five sixes.
He played some such shots in his innings which will be remembered for a long time. Ravindra Jadeja supported him well by scoring 32 not out in 15 balls. Together they made the last 3. Scored 55 runs in 4 overs.
Jadeja played four balls in the last over and Gaikwad got only two deliveries, who completed his century by hitting Mustafizur Rahman for a six off the last ball. For the Royals, leg-spinner Rahul Tewatia took three wickets for 39 runs in four overs.
