The story of the film ‘Niyat’ revolves around a murder mystery and a detective. Vidya Balan played the role of Detective in this film. Vidya Balan will be seen solving the murder mystery in this film. The film is directed by Anu Menon, who earlier made ‘Shakuntala Devi’ with Vidya Balan. Regarding Anu Menon, Shahana Goswami says, ‘When I spoke to Anu Menon about the intention and when she narrated the story of the film and my character, I became very eager to play the role of Lisa.’
