President Of India Ramnath Kovind Addresses The Nation A Day Before Demitting Office

India’s President Ram Nath Kovind delivered an address to the nation on Sunday, a day before he stepped down. Talking about his experiences, Kovind said, “After meeting many countrymen, my belief was strengthened that our people are the real nation builders. Our future is secure in the hands of such great countrymen.”

The President said, “When I was trying to understand my future as a child in my small village, it was only a short time before I got freedom. I was hopeful that I too would make some contribution in nation building. The strength of India’s democracy is that it has opened doors to citizens to do whatever they can.Our forefathers and our modern nation builders, through their hard work and service spirit, have realized the ideals of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity. We just have to follow in his footsteps and keep moving forward.”

Outgoing President Ram Nath Kovind said that he received full cooperation, support and blessings from all sections of the society during his tenure. He said, “If a man from a village in Kanpur countryside is addressing you today, it is a proof of the vibrancy of India’s democracy. Regarding PM Modi, Kovind said that recently the Prime Minister also came to my village and he respected the village. Extended.”

Calling upon the youth to stick to their roots and the countrymen to protect the environment for future generations, the President said that Mother Nature is going through a deep pain. The climate crisis could threaten the future of this planet. Kovind said that the country is working towards providing better housing, drinking water and electricity to every family. He said that this change has been possible through development and good governance, in which there is no discrimination of any kind.

He said the pandemic has underscored the need for further reforms in the public health infrastructure. I am happy that the government has given top priority to this work. He made a special mention of the threat to the environment and asked all citizens to take care of it for the generations to come. Kovind said that Mother Nature is going through a deep pain and the climate crisis could endanger the future of this planet. We should take care of our environment, our land, air and water for the sake of our children.

He said that in our daily routine and while using everyday things, we need to be very careful to protect our trees, rivers, seas and mountains along with all other animals. As a first citizen, if I had any advice to give to my countrymen, I would give this advice.
