IND vs AUS: Big problem facing Australia, playing of star opener is not decided

IND vs AUS 1st ODI: The first match of the three-match ODI series between India and Australia is to be played on 17 March. It is not decided to play David Warner in this match. After the hairline fracture in the elbow, he has not been able to prove his fitness completely till now. If he feels comfortable batting during net practice, then only he will be made a part of the playing-11 for the first ODI.

36-year-old Warner was injured during the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023. The condition was that Australia had to replace him in the middle of the match. Matt Renshaw was taken into the playing-11 as Warner’s concussion substitute. After this, Warner was also dropped from the Australian squad for the remaining two Test matches. Although he is a part of the Kangaroo team in the ODI series as he has recovered to a great extent.

Team management can take a decision today
David Warner has returned to the Australian squad but he is yet to prove his fitness. Probably during the practice session to be held today, a decision can be taken regarding Warner’s inclusion in the playing-11. By the way, Warner is looking completely fit. Recently he was seen playing cricket with children in the streets of Mumbai.

Warner’s ODI record is strong
David Warner was definitely a complete flop during the Test series in India but he scores a lot of runs in white ball cricket in India. From IPL to International cricket, his bat has scored a lot of runs here. By the way, Warner’s overall ODI record is also excellent. He has scored 6000 runs in 141 ODIs at an average of 45.16 and a strike rate of 95.
