ICC have released Latest T20 International Women’s rankings on Tuesday (September 13).
Indian Renuka Singh Climbed 5 Potions
Indian pacer Renuka Singh has jumped five places to 13th in the bowlers’ list, while spinner Deepti Sharma has retained her seventh spot in the latest ICC T20I Women’s rankings released by the International Cricket Council on Tuesday (September 13). Renuka, who bowled economical for just 23 runs in four overs during India’s nine-wicket loss to England in the first T20 International at Chester Lee Street last week, has 612 rating points.
Only Indian in ICC Women’s Ranking
Deepti remains the only Indian bowler in the top 10, while in the all-rounder’s list, she remains at the fourth position. In the batsmen’s list, she has moved up three places to 33rd and wicket-keeper batsman Richa Ghosh has moved up four places to 75th.
In the batting rankings, Smriti Mandhana (710 points) is the highest-ranked Indian player with the fourth spot, while Shefali Verma (686) and Jemima Rodrigues (624) are ranked sixth and 10th respectively. England all-rounder Sarah Glenn has moved closer to compatriot Sophie Ecclestone after a stellar performance in the first match of the three-match T20I series against India.
England Bowlers Dominates Top 3 Ranks
Sara is tied for a career-best ranking of second and just 13 ratings points behind left-arm spinner Sophie. The rankings of England batsmen Sophia Dunkley and Alice Capsi have also improved after the first match.
Sofia moved up 13 places to 44th position with an unbeaten 61 off 44 balls, while Ellis has gained 12 places to be at 52nd after scoring an unbeaten 32 off 20 balls. Freya Davis has gained nine places and is ranked 59th in the bowlers’ list.
