Russia Shocked Ukraine, Missile Attack On Odessa After Agreement On Grain – Russia Ukraine Crisis

A day earlier, a UN-mediated agreement was signed between Russia and Ukraine to remove barriers to grain exports from the Ukrainian city of Odessa in Turkey. But on Saturday Russian missiles attacked infrastructure in Odessa, southern Ukraine. This has dealt a major blow to the agreement to eliminate barriers to grain exports from the Black Sea ports.

Ukrainian Operational Command South wrote on the Telegram app, “The enemy has attacked the Odessa maritime trading port with Kalibr cruise missiles.” It said two missiles targeted infrastructure at the port while two others were shot down by air defense forces. Let us tell you, since Moscow’s attack on Ukraine on 24 February, Ukrainian ports have been blocked by the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

Due to this lakhs of tonnes of food grains have been stuck and many ships are also stranded at ports. This has disrupted global supply chains and made food grains costlier around the world. Friday’s deal had raised hopes of relief in costly grain prices, but Saturday’s missile attack has raised questions about it.

US promises more military aid to Ukraine
The US has promised more military aid to Ukraine, including drones. It has said it is considering whether fighter jets can be sent to Ukraine. The US is considering increasing military aid in view of the ongoing shelling by Russian forces in several towns and cities of Ukraine over the past six months. This makes the Russo-Ukraine war seem unlikely to end any time soon.

5,100 Ukrainian children sent to Russia so far
Ukraine’s top official says 5,100 children have been sent to Russia since Moscow’s February 24 war on Kyiv. Ukrainian President’s Representative for the Rights of the Child and Child Rehabilitation Daria Herasimchuk told that the unreceived requests for children are being submitted every day and therefore I urge everyone to report child abduction cases to the National Information Bureau . This will allow us to begin our search for children. Ukraine sends the collected data to the Red Cross and other international organizations that help trace children.

353 children died in the five-month war
President Volodymyr Zelensky’s adviser said 353 Ukrainian children have been killed and 679 others wounded since the start of the war. It is impossible to tell the exact number of victims. The Russians do not allow anyone to enter the occupied territories, even to bury children.
