Meanwhile, the Indian Air Force has shared the details related to the central government’s ‘Agneepath’ scheme on its website. Its selection process from the Air Force is starting from June 24. In this, other information including eligibility criteria, age limit, educational qualification has been given. It states that all Indians are eligible for this scheme, although the age of the candidate should be between 17.5 years to 21 years to apply for it. Agnipath Recruitment 2022: What is Agnipath Scheme 2022

This scheme includes the recruitment process for the persons below the rank of officers. Under this scheme, 75% of the jawans will be recruited for just 4 years. The soldiers recruited under the scheme will be called Agniveers. At the same time, only 25 percent will be kept in service again for the next 15 years.

All Indians can apply under this scheme. However, men and women in the age group of 17.5 to 21 years will be recruited. After four years, Agniveer will be able to apply for the regular cadre of his own accord. Based on the merit, requirement of the organization, up to 25 percent will be selected from that batch. Other educational qualifications and physical standards will be issued by the Indian Air Force. Agniveers have to fulfill the medical eligibility conditions to apply in the Indian Air Force.

Agniveers will get these facilities

Agniveers will be given hardship allowance, uniform allowance, canteen and medical facilities along with monthly salary. Agniveers will also get travel allowance. According to the information given on the website, they will get the same facilities as a regular Air Force soldier.

You will get 30 days leave in a year. They will be given medical leave separately. However, it will depend on the medical checkup.

The selection process under the Agneepath scheme will start from June 24. Under the Agneepath scheme for 2022, the age limit of those recruited in the Indian Air Force has been increased to 23 years.

Training Period and Salary

Under the new scheme, there will be a training period of about 2.5 months to 6 months during the 4 years of service.

If Agniveer dies during four years of service, then an insurance cover will be given, under which financial assistance of about 1 crore will be given to his family.

Agniveers will get a salary of 30-40 thousand rupees per month.

In case of disability in the line of duty, ex-gratia will get Rs 44 lakh. Along with this, the full salary of the job left and the service fund package will also be available.

Agniveers will have total insurance of 48 lakhs. In case of martyrdom while on duty, 44 lakhs will be given by the government in a lump sum and the service fund package will be separate. Apart from this, the full salary of the job left will be available.

In the recruitment to be held in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Assam Rifles, 10 percent seats will be reserved for ‘Agniveers’. Apart from this, the Ministry of Home Affairs has also announced relaxation in upper age limit for ‘Agniveers’ for recruitment in CAPF and Assam Rifles.

Around 46,000 soldiers are to be recruited for the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force through the Agneepath scheme. The recruitment of women under the Agneepath scheme will depend on the needs of the services concerned.
